The typical height range for this shrub is between 40 and 70 centimeters. Crested Flower Tree gets its name from the fact that its blossoms look like a chicken’s comb. Some variants include red or copper leaves in addition to the standard green. They mature to a length of 5-12 cm and have an ovate, lance-like form.

The crested blooms may be seen in a rainbow of hues, from red to pink to purple to orange. There are flowers that grow in clusters that create a ball, and there are blooms that grow singly on each branch. Although flowers bloom constantly throughout the year, late winter and early spring are peak bloom times. Their vibrant flowers can perk up any room.

Ovoid and round at the same time, the fruit contains 8-10 lustrous black seeds. The Crested Flower Tree is often cultivated for its aesthetic value.

Hot, humid, and bright environments are ideal for this plant’s growth. It has to be maintained free from cold temperatures and stagnant water.
